Harvest and cure

The final stages of a grow cycle are Drying, Curing and Success. BudMinder uses these milestones to calculate total flowering time, dry duration and cure length automatically.

Harvesting

On harvest day, advance the plant to Drying on its growth stage track. See Moving to the next stage. The date the plant enters Drying is permanently recorded as its harvest date.

Once drying begins, the plant moves from the Growing tab to the Harvested tab on the Plants page, and active task alerts clear from the Today dashboard. The plant profile replaces estimated harvest projections with Harvested and the completed date.

Drying and curing

  • Advance the plant to Curing when flower moves into jars or cure bags. The elapsed days between Drying and Curing are recorded as your dry time.
  • Advance the plant to Success when your cure is complete. The elapsed days spent in Curing are recorded as your cure time.

The stage track displays total days spent in each phase, keeping your post-harvest drying and curing stats readily available on the plant's profile.

Recording the yield

Click the pencil icon on the plant's page to edit details, and enter your final dry weight under Harvest Weight in grams. Your yield then appears:

  • on the plant's profile next to its core stats
  • on the Harvested tab of the Plants list
  • on the strain's dedicated profile, alongside historical yields from previous runs of that cultivar

Writing a smoke report

Once a plant is harvested, its profile displays a Smoke report button, and a Smoke node appears on the stage track following Success. Both shortcuts open a new evaluation report pre-populated with cultivation data: strain, harvest date, tent, days from start to harvest, dry duration and cure length.

You can create multiple smoke reports for the same harvest to track how flower matures, such as after two weeks of curing and again after two months in the jar. See Writing a report.

When a plant dies

Click the skull icon on the plant's photo to mark it as dead. It moves to the Dead tab on the Plants page. Its complete profile, photos and journal logs remain preserved.
