Scores and weights
Every smoke report evaluates four core attributes on a 1 to 10 scale, compiling them into a customizable weighted overall score.

- 1 Rating selector: click any number from 1 to 10 to assign a score. The scale fills dynamically from light to dark green. Click the active score again to clear it.
- 2 Category weights: adjust how heavily each individual category influences your overall rating.
- 3 Overall score: updates in real time as scores are assigned.
The four scores
- Bud quality: visual appearance, trichome density, bud structure, trim quality and cure consistency.
- Taste: taste profile, vapor smoothness and flavor retention through the bowl or joint.
- Smell: terpene intensity, nose character and jar appeal.
- Effects: onset speed, psychoactive potency and total duration.
You do not need to score every attribute. Blank categories are automatically excluded from the weighted overall average without penalizing your score.
How the overall score works
The overall score is a weighted arithmetic mean of your active scores, calculated using your assigned multipliers and rounded to one decimal place. With all category weights set to 1×, scores of 8, 9, 7 and 8 result in an overall rating of 8.0.
Overall ratings are color-coded across all dashboards: green for scores 8.0 and above, amber for 6.0 to 7.9 and red for scores below 6.0.
Score weights
Navigate to Settings → Grow setup → Smoke reports to set custom multipliers from 0× to 5× for each category. For instance, set Effects to 3× if physical and mental potency are your highest priority. Setting a category to 0× removes it from overall score calculations entirely.
Updating weight settings recalculates the overall score across all historical and future reports instantly.
Fields on the form
Under the same Settings panel, you can streamline the review workflow by disabling form fields you do not use:
- Grow info: harvest date, grow space, lighting hardware, container size, medium, nutrients, germination-to-harvest duration, dry time and cure duration
- Other: consumption method, physical sensations, bud structure tags, repeat verdicts, THC and CBD percentages, dispensary location, purchase price and batch lot numbers
Disabled fields are hidden from both the entry form and finished report profiles. Any previously entered data is safely preserved in your database and will reappear if a field is re-enabled.
